Appearance: Not the lightest of the bunch and he knows it, having been teased relentlessly with is when he was younger. However as he grew into his prime he became more muscle than fat and while he's still overweight without a doubt, he knows how to work it to his advantage, both in and out of battle. He isn't the tallest either, which doesn't help him not looking heavy, however he does not look directly fat like certain other stags.
Despite it looking very heavy and full his tail is actually thin, light and very soft to the touch. Same goes for his mane and chestcurls.
Scars on shoulder and neck from the fight with the duke when he was nine years old.
Carries one hell of a rack which is starting to affect his ability to graze during the fall and winter due to it's shape and size.

History
- Born to Lord Earnán and Lady Gweneth as their second child after Lady Káit.
- It quickly shows that Hrothgar is no light stag and he starts putting on more weight than needed as a fawn.
- Others starts to taunt him with his weight, but he stays strong and simply ignore it; he makes the taunting nickname 'Husky' into his own, thus removing the taunting part of it.
- Despite not being able to keep the 'right' weight he starts training and despite being slower than most, he turns out being very strong.
- At the age of nine a duke challenges him, but looses and in his anger he attacks Hroth. The duke is later deemed tainted and Hroth wears the scars with pride and as a reminder to others.
- He sires two lords at some point during his prime to make it clear that he is not infertile.
- When the Captain of the Guard, Bróccan, is killed, Hrothgar supports Ragnar the Red's decision to exile Donnaghán. When Ragnar is later killed he mourns the loss of a great king.
- Does not approve highly of King Drustan, but isn't as verbal as many others. He's willing to give it time and see if Drustan can perhaps do something right; turns out he can't, but Hrothgar still keeps calm and does not cry out like many others. He prefers to keep his talk to more private conversations.
- He is luckily not around when the Great Oak is destroyed; mourns its destruction and the loss of his young son though. He later blames Drustan for the destruction.
- He is present when Nuala returns and finds himself torn between blaming Drustan for the destruction and blaming it on Óganach, as he clearly pulling strings. Does not vote as he is only just waking when the vote takes place. Later voices that he wishes to see Nuala returned to a Lord or Prince and Lonan exiled at the very least.
- When the council is announced and formed he is one of those who has less negative thoughts about it, as he knows that it is not uncommon for a king to seek council, even if it has never been official before. However he disapproves highly of the commoner position and finds it close to disgusting that the king allows himself to seek a doe's council, as they do not have any tactical knowledge; they're pretty and can be smart, but knows nothing the herd needs besides how to take care of fawns!

Ragnarok: He has never had much contact with him, but at least he seems like a proper and good lord.
Ylva: They see each other from time to time and he holds her dear like his other grandnieces.

Alette: His beloved Alette. He knows he's not her first mate and most likely never will be a real mate of hers, but he loves her dearly and gives her everything she could ever want. Their marriage isn't perfect, but it's very close.
Almárëa: The daughter of Gilthoniel, he did not start speaking much with her until after his friend's death. Since then he has taken on some sort of father-role and cares deeply for her, although she sees him more like a father than he sees her as a daughter.
Gilthoniel (NPC): Hrothgar befriended this lord in his young years and has throughout his life held a close friendship with him. He would at times train with him, but their friendship consisted mostly of talking and in particular discussions about big and small. They discussed everything from family and religion to death and honour. Hrothgar still finds himself mourning the loss of Glithoniel and greatly misses their talks.
Rhodri: An old and dear friend of his, Rhodri has seen all his bad and good times. They have a lot of history together and can talk about pretty much anything.

Lunemyr: Is on rather neutral terms with Lunemyr, but acts brotherly in public. He dislikes the taint he brings to his family, but accepts him as he has proven himself as a guardsman.
Mór: He has disowned Lady Mór and despises her for having gotten a mutated fawn with a filthy commoner. He likes to blame it on some kind of madness.
Ragnarok: He has never had much contact with him, but at least he seems like a proper and good lord.
Ylva: They see each other from time to time and he holds her dear like his other grandnieces.
Friends
Alette: His beloved Alette. He knows he's not her first mate and most likely never will be a real mate of hers, but he loves her dearly and gives her everything she could ever want. Their marriage isn't perfect, but it's very close.
Almárëa: The daughter of Gilthoniel, he did not start speaking much with her until after his friend's death. Since then he has taken on some sort of father-role and cares deeply for her, although she sees him more like a father than he sees her as a daughter.
Gilthoniel (NPC): Hrothgar befriended this lord in his young years and has throughout his life held a close friendship with him. He would at times train with him, but their friendship consisted mostly of talking and in particular discussions about big and small. They discussed everything from family and religion to death and honour. Hrothgar still finds himself mourning the loss of Glithoniel and greatly misses their talks.
Rhodri: An old and dear friend of his, Rhodri has seen all his bad and good times. They have a lot of history together and can talk about pretty much anything.

- Late spring | His firstborn, Lord Monnorn, is born.

Year 758 of the New Age | 15 years
- Spring | His dear sister Lady Káit dies in her sleep at the age of 28.
- Fall | The Great Oak is destroyed and he looses a son, Lord Monnorn. He mourns the loss together with the mother and later blames it all on the king in his grief.
Year 759 of the New Age | 16 years
Summer | Hrothgar learns that Mór and Huisha are together from his grandniece Ísold. | What Is This Madness? / What is this maddness!
Summer | The New Oak is grown and he is there; he choose the law over love.
